In 1981, the Cincinnati Bengals unveiled new helmets, pants, and jerseys featuring bold tiger stripes. Quarterback Ken Anderson, whose jersey you see here, led the team to its first Super Bowl appearance that season and earned the NFL's Most Valuable Player award.

Dr. John Howard (Harlem Globetrotters) - Ohio History Center

In 2012, Dr. John Howard, Jr., co-founded the Greater Columbus Basketball Legends Association. A Columbus high school standout in the 1960s, he later played for the Harlem Globetrotters and owned this uniform.
