Miller Huggins - Spring Grove Cemetery

Huggins was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. Huggins earned a law degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Huggins started out his Major League career with the Cincinnati Reds in 1904. He stayed with the Reds through 1909. In 1910, Huggins played with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he stayed as a player till 1916. Huggins was also the manager of the St. Louis Cardinals from 1913 to 1917. 1918 saw him become manager of the New York Yankees. As manager of the Yankees, the team won the 1923, 1927 and 1928 World Series. Yankees were the American League pennant winners in 1921, 1922, 1923, 1926, 1927 and 1928.
Huggins had a .265 BA, 9 HR, 318 RBI and 324 stolen bases.
