Chillicothe, Ohio
Joshua Sill was born in Chillicothe, Ohio in 1831. When the Civil War started, Sill in May, 1861 was appointed Assistant Adjutant General of the State. In August, 1861, Sill became Colonel of the 33rd OVI. Sill eventually became a Brigadier General in 1862. Joshua Sill was killed at the Battle Of Stones River.
Fort Sill in Oklahoma is named in honor of Joshua Sill.
