He was present in the billiards parlor when Morgan Earp was killed in Tombstone, Arizona.
Rode on Wyatt Earp's Vendetta Ride.
In 1897, Dan Tipton was convicted of smuggling forged Chinese immigration labor papers. Tipton died in 1898.
Daniel Tipton's grave was unmarked until 2006.
