Located in section 9 of Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio is the Haserot family plot.
The statue is named The Angel Of Death Victorious. It was designed by sculptor Herman Matzen in 1924. The angel is holding not a sword but an overturned torch to symbolize a life extinguished.
Due to aging and the effects of weather, it looks like it is crying. For some reason, some people tend to get freaked out by it. Just because of the weathering has affected it, it doesn't mean it is actually crying. With the colors, I think it is one of the better looking angel statues.
The family is know for it's canning business, Northern Haserot. Northern Haserot does canned goods for schools, hospitals and so on.
