Johnny Morehouse's marker in 2009.
Johnny Morehouse probably has the most visited grave in Woodland Cemetery. Johnny was born in 1855. The story says that one day in 1860, Johnny fell into the Miami & Erie Canal behind his father's shoe repair shop. The dog jumped into the canal to try and save Johnny, but was too late. After the burial, the dog showed up at the grave and wouldn't leave. The marker above was added in 1861 to go with the story.
