For those Buckeye fans out there, Vic Janowicz would probably be a familiar name. Janowicz won the Heisman trophy in 1950. He was elected to the College Football Hall Of Fame in 1976.

From 1953 to 1954, Janowicz played for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He had a measly .214 batting average.

In 1954 and 1955 he played in the NFL for the Washington Redskins. His career was cut short when he was partially paralyzed as a result of an automobile accident. He did recover but his pro sports career was over.
